The original mandalas are all hand-drawn and painted - so jigsaw puzzlers are getting the easier side of the deal - all you have to do is put them back together. For the photography-based work, doing the puzzle is the more labour-intensive part, as even the most fantastically complex pile-up of colour and line is often achieved with minimal effort in the digital design realm.
