Description:
The Celts used all kinds of birds and animals in their art and myths. In Celtic lore, a druid kept their sacred stones and mystical tools in their "crane bag". These cranes are featured within a tangle of Celtic trefoil knots on a triple spiral pattern background. Surrounding the triskel centre, the medallion is flanked by more cranes and asian inspired clouds. I created this design for my book "Celtic Animal Designs", published by Dover Publications and available on Amazon.
